Furikake Crusted Tofu

 Diamond Bakery Furikake Soda Cracker Crusted Tofu

- Serves 6 people, Total cooking time 30 minutes

Ingredients  

Three 14 ounce packages of Firm Tofu

1 tablespoon of Wasabi Paste 

3 Eggs

1/4th cup of All Purpose Flour

Crust Ingredients

2 individual packages of Diamond Bakery’s Furikake Crackers 

½ cup of Panko Bread Crumbs  

4 tablespoons of Nori Komi Furikake Rice Seasoning

1 teaspoon of Nanami Togarashi Assorted Chili Pepper Seasoning

Salt & Pepper

Directions

Cut the tofu into 4 equal pieces per package (total 12 pieces). Drain the tofu on paper towel to absorb moisture. Coat the tofu with wasabi paste, salt & pepper. Next prepare stations to crust the tofu. Start by placing the flour into a bowl. Place eggs into another bowl and blend together well. Finally take Diamond Bakery Furikake Soda Crackers and place into a mixer and blend together well into a crust consistency. Place the crackers and the rest of the crust ingredients into a large bowl and stir together. Next take the tofu and place into the flour, egg wash and then pack well with crust ingredients. Bring a pan up to medium high heat and pan fry tofu on each side until golden brown. Serve with rice and vegetable.
