1. Background

Driven by its mission of sharing heart-warming Aloha, Diamond Bakery (DB) is collaborating with Aloha United Way (AUW) to develop a Campaign – “MAKE & BAKE”. The program incorporates community fundraising into a creative and fun consumer contest as well as providing an easy way for individuals to give to a charitable cause. As a result, Diamond Bakery will donate profits from 3-months of cracker sales to AUW to help those who are less fortunate. This proposed partnership also comes at a time when charitable giving is down and non-profits are reporting budget shortfalls and service limitations due to a downturn in the economy.
