1. Description of Heartwarming Story Contest

Diamond Bakery, sharing heartwarming aloha since 1921, has asked you to share with us what foods you pair our products with, who you enjoy them with, and maybe a special recipe to share with your island neighbors!

2. How to Enter

You can enter online, by email, or by mail during the contest period (1PM, HT, May1, 2009 through 11:59:59 PM, HT, October 30, 2009). Each entry must contain an essay of 250 words or less describing your feelings about Diamond Bakery products, or how you think they are different from any other cracker products you had before, or even a special recipe you have created just for our products. You may include color photographs (JPG, GIF, or PDF) or a video (MPG or QuickTime) showing how Diamond Bakery’s products bring the “Heartwarming Aloha” all the way from Hawaii to you and your families & friends. The essays and photographs/videos are collectively designated herein as “Entries”. All Entries must (1) be original and (2) not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

For all the entries, please clearly type or print your entry and include your name, address, phone number and e-mail address.

3. Eligibility

All online Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. HT, October 30, 2009. Winners will be contacted and announced on November 7, 2009. All Mail Entries must be post marked no later than November 5, 2009. Only one Entry per person will be accepted regardless of entry method.

Entrants may be asked to consent to receive promotional e-mails and reminder e-mails from Diamond Bakery. Such consent is not a condition of eligibility and does not improve an Entrant’s chances of winning. Such e-mails would be subject to the privacy policy of Diamond Bakery and Entrants may opt out of receiving them at any time. Contest is only open to persons (1) who are legal residents of, and physically located within and eligible to work in, the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, (2) are not employees of Diamond Bakery, or their households or immediate families. In addition, Entities are not responsible in any way for Entries that are altered, delayed, deleted, destroyed, fraudulent, illegible, improperly accessed, inaccurate, incomplete, interrupted, late, lost, misrouted, multiple, mutilated, non-delivered, postage-due, stolen, tampered with, unauthorized or unintelligible; or any printing, production, technical, electronic or other errors; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections; miscommunications; failed phone, computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions; technical failures; unauthorized human intervention; traffic congestion; garbled or jumbled transmissions; undeliverable emails resulting from any form of active or passive email filtering; insufficient space in Entrant’s email account to receive email; or other errors of any kind, whether due to electronic, mechanical or human error or other causes; even if caused by the negligence of any of the Entities or each of such potential Entries will be disqualified. Challenge is void where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to all applicable federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations.

4. Procedure/Judging

All “Heartwarming” stories must be associated with Diamond Bakery products. Submitted Entries will be judged based upon uniqueness/creativity, consistence, and adherence Diamond Bakery’s mission of sharing heartwarming aloha with the world. Decisions of the judges are final.

5. Prize: One (1) Grand Prize

One (1) Grand Prize will be available to be awarded for the chosen winner, consisting of a Hawaii vacation for six (6) days accommodations at Ocean View Room at the OutRigger Reef on the Beach of Waikiki; one (1) $1,000 Visa gift card which can be used towards airfare and rental Car for six (6) days. Total ARV of Grand Prize: $3,000.

6. Winner

Depend on the ways of entries, the Winners will be notified by phone, email or mail on or about August 9, 2009. Disqualification and the selection of an alternate Winner may result from the Winner’s failure to respond to notice within five (5) business days from the date of transmission. By submitting your story you grant us permission to publish your name and story for editorial and promotional purposes, except where prohibited by law; and without compensation. We reserve the right to edit the story. Entries will not be returned. All copyright rights of winning stories will belong to Diamond Bakery Co., Ltd. Diamond Bakery assumes no responsibilities for entries that are unable to be accepted due to illegibility, lost or delayed mail or due to phone, electronic, network or computer failures of any kind. Subject to all US Federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Taxes on prizes are the responsibility of the winners.
